The Sunset Motel had some redeeming qualities, especially the location being just a short drive from the Boardwalk. The staff seemed friendly during check-in, which helped after a long drive. However, the room was far from what I expected. I received a smoking room that reeked of stale smoke. The carpet looked stained, and the sheets didn't feel clean. The bathroom had visible mold, and the towels were surprisingly made of a plastic material that didn’t absorb water. The door frame was falling apart, and there were no towel racks to be found. Definitely not a pleasant place to unwind after a long day. Some aspects felt just plain neglected. I wouldn’t recommend staying here without knowing what you’re getting into.

Target audience needing a break
The staff was nice enough, which made the check-in a bit easier after a long drive. The bathroom was shabby and had some mold, definitely not the best but I crashed for a night after driving too long.
